Finish the capture, then help the team
Stay with an ally, knock down an opponent, get that opponent into your team’s jail, and keep the capture secure. If your teammates are imprisoned instead, help open their cage. Kidnap And Jail revolves around that exchange between capture and rescue.
Chasing every red or blue character you see creates unfinished fights. A downed opponent still needs collecting, a carrier needs a safe route, and a prisoner can escape through damaged bars. Before you chase, decide how you will collect the opponent and get them back to jail.
Learn your side before the first fight
Identify your team color and locate your own jail. Then find the opposing base so you know where captured allies are taken. Use the color and player markers on your screen to separate teammates from opponents; a familiar avatar outfit does not establish team membership.
Look at the round timer and captured counters before leaving base. They give you context for the next action, but do not treat a knockout notification as proof of a completed jail delivery.
For your opening trip, follow a nearby ally rather than crossing the arena alone. You can help finish their capture or see the route back to base without becoming the opponent’s easiest isolated target.
Use the full capture chain
Keep these stages separate:
| Stage | What you need to do | What often goes wrong |
|---|---|---|
| Fight | Pressure an opponent while staying near support | You chase into several enemies |
| Knockout | Recognize the downed opponent and Carry prompt | You immediately chase another target |
| Carry | Collect the opponent and head toward your jail | Nobody watches the delivery route |
| Jail | Confirm the opponent reaches the cage | You leave before the delivery finishes |
| Hold | Watch damaged bars and approaching rescuers | Everyone leaves the prisoners unattended |
On desktop, the Carry prompt can display E. Follow the actual prompt on your device rather than expecting the same button on every platform.
After a knockout, decide who carries and who protects the trip. A short message such as “I’ll carry; cover the route” is more useful than both players fighting the next enemy. Once you reach the cage, check its occupants and your surroundings before returning to the middle of the arena.
Change jobs when the team needs it
You do not need to pick one duty for the whole round. When a teammate is carrying, escort them. When your jail has prisoners and weakened bars, help defend it. When several allies are locked up, look for a supported rescue.
If you become a prisoner, punch a bar section and watch its health. Work on the same weakened section as another prisoner instead of spreading damage across the cage. When defenders keep repairing that section, watch for another accessible opening and coordinate the change.
If you are rescuing from outside, you need to reach the enemy cage while its defenders are active. Support a teammate’s approach, help damage the bars, and leave room for freed allies to get away. Standing at the opening while the opposing team surrounds you can turn a successful break into another capture.
Make the lobby useful
Between rounds, check Inventory and make sure you selected the ability or bat you intend to use. The Abilities, Bats and Auras tabs separate different collections; a new reward is not a reason to assume your whole loadout changed.
The lobby also includes map voting, crates and a reward wheel. You can inspect them after learning the core loop. Read the current menu before spending; rarity labels and a spinning animation do not explain every item’s effect or its odds.
For the next round, choose one improvement: complete deliveries, stay beside carriers, or react sooner to damaged bars. Trying to learn every shop and ability at once makes it harder to notice which part of the round you are missing.
Keep learning one task at a time
Start with the knockout guide if fights keep ending without a capture. Read carrying enemies if you can win a fight but lose the delivery. Those are separate problems, and fixing the second often helps the team more than starting another fight.
FAQ
What is the main objective?
Capture opponents and put them in jail while avoiding capture yourself. Work with teammates to retain prisoners and rescue allies.
Does knocking someone down put them in jail?
No. The opponent still needs to be collected and delivered. Watch the Carry prompt and complete the transport.
Can I help while imprisoned?
Yes. Punch the bars and coordinate damage on a weakened section. Outside teammates can also assist with a rescue.
Is E the carry button on every device?
Use the button shown by your current Carry prompt. E is a desktop prompt; do not assume it describes mobile controls.
