Choose the useful action you can finish
As the timer runs low, compare three nearby tasks: complete a delivery, protect prisoners already in your jail, or help jailed allies escape. Choose the one you can support and finish in the current situation. A long chase toward the opposite side of the arena can leave all three tasks unattended.
Do not let a favorable percentage make the decision for you. The jail still needs defending, carriers still need a route, and available teammates can change after an escape. Keep playing until the game actually shows the round ending.
Scan the timer, both jails and nearby support
Start with the time remaining, then look at where your team is already committed. Is a carrier approaching your base? Are prisoners weakening your bars? Is a reachable ally trapped behind a cage section your teammates are already attacking?
Those positions are more useful than a vague instruction to “win.” Name the next task and the player who can cover it. Short calls reduce the chance that everybody leaves the same duty at once.
| Situation | Useful late-round choice |
|---|---|
| Allied carrier close to your jail | Cover the final approach and confirm the deposit |
| Existing prisoners damaging bars | Keep repair and outside defense covered |
| Several allies jailed with support near the cage | Help the rescue opening and cover the exit |
| Enemy far away from your support | Reconsider a chase that removes you from nearby work |
| Another wall starts breaking | Redirect defense before adding a fresh capture |
Choose from the tasks you can finish rather than assuming one always earns the most points. Reassess when an escape, knockout or route obstruction changes the situation.
Preserve what the team has already completed
Your team has already fought for each secured prisoner and carried them home. When the cage is under pressure, defending that work can be more practical than beginning a distant fight with no clear delivery route.
Keep a repairer on the threatened section while an ally watches rescuers and the rest of the cage. If everybody concentrates on one wall, call the second threat rather than assuming more repair on the first wall solves it.
Read the current Jail Lockdown control and countdown if it is relevant at your base. Continue checking the bars afterward. The control does not replace watching what prisoners and outside attackers are doing.
Finish nearby deliveries without abandoning defense
If a teammate is nearly home with an opponent, cover the approach. Let somebody keep monitoring the jail while the carrier completes the trip.
After the deposit, the carrier can join defense instead of immediately returning to another fight. That creates a natural handoff: escort watches the outside, former carrier checks the cage, and the existing repairer can call the next weak section.
If the route is heavily contested and support is absent, reconsider the trip before committing everyone to it. An unfinished delivery and an unattended jail can leave your team solving two problems at once.
Rescue with a clear exit
When many allies are imprisoned, a reachable rescue can restore team presence. Coordinate the bar target and departure route before the opening appears.
Do not spend the remaining time attacking a defender far from the cage while the prisoners have no help. Keep somebody pressuring the section and somebody watching the exit.
Once teammates get out, regroup around the next reachable task. Continue checking the timer and actual round-end screen rather than declaring the result from the displayed lead.
Read jail repair for defense coverage or rescuing teammates for the outside rescue plan.
FAQ
Should I always defend near the end?
Defend when existing prisoners and damaged bars need attention. A nearby delivery or supported rescue can be the better immediate task in a different situation.
Does a full-looking capture display mean I can stop?
Keep checking the cage and wait for the actual round-end indication. Do not leave defense because you assume a displayed state already ended the round.
What is the biggest late-round mistake?
Starting a long unsupported chase while a reachable delivery, repair or rescue is unattended. Choose work you can actually complete.
How should I use Jail Lockdown?
Read the current pad and timer, then continue monitoring bar health and outside threats. Do not assume a fixed duration or automatic victory.
