Buy for the bottleneck you can identify

Buy the upgrade that addresses the problem your team is facing now. Consider jail durability when prisoners keep breaking out, range when fights are being lost just outside bat reach, and speed when pursuit or positioning is the obstacle. Read the live preview before paying.

An upgrade is not a replacement for coordination. Stronger bars still need monitoring, extra reach does not collect a downed opponent, and movement speed does not tell a carrier which base to use.

Balance note, October 3, 2026: the values below are September 2026 Tier 1 preview examples. Use your current pad for the actual offer, price, currency and affected stat.

Compare the three checked stat directions

Team Upgrade and Enemy Upgrade pads are visible at the bases. Verify which team’s offer you are inspecting before making a purchase.

Upgrade directionHistorical preview exampleProblem to investigate
Jail HP500 HP to 575 HPBars are repeatedly breached
Bat range8 to 9 studsOpponents stay just beyond reach
Speed24 to 26Your team struggles with pursuit or positioning

Use these examples to compare the stats, not as a full tier chart. Check the current menu for later tiers, prices and whether an upgrade carries over.

Increasing maximum jail health does a different job from repairing damage. If a section is losing health now, somebody still needs to respond to that attack.

Check defense before choosing HP

Watch why prisoners are escaping. If the team never repairs the attacked section or misses another wall, fix that coverage first. Extra durability changes the health limit. It still leaves somebody needing to stop an unattended attack.

If defenders are already covering sections and the cage is repeatedly under sustained pressure, compare the current HP offer. Ask a teammate to keep watching the bars while you inspect the pad.

After purchase, read the affected stat or health display and keep the same defensive routine. Check whether that pressure is easier to handle; a larger number does not secure the jail by itself.

Check the fight before choosing range or speed

Range is relevant when opponents remain beyond your melee reach. Before paying, notice whether that is really the reason the fight failed. Chasing alone into several opponents is a support problem even if your bat can reach farther.

Speed relates to pursuit and positioning. Check whether poor route choices, a contested crossing or an unprotected carrier are causing the delay. An upgrade cannot decide the transport route for you.

Change one thing, then try the same task again. That makes it easier to tell whether the stat helped or more teammates simply joined you.

Read the payment and duration details

Use the currency icon and the live price on the offer. The game displays gold coins and green cash separately; do not convert one into the other in your head or assume a third-party product price describes the same purchase.

Read any current duration or persistence wording before relying on the upgrade in a later round. Do not plan a permanent build from a preview that only explains the next stat change.

Your team’s situation determines what is worth buying first. Choose a visible problem, compare the matching offer, and keep the capture chain covered while you inspect it.

Use jail repair for active defense or coins to separate the currency displays.

FAQ

Which upgrade should I buy first?

Identify the present bottleneck: jail breaches, melee reach or movement. Check the current offer for the relevant stat instead of following a universal order.

Does more jail HP replace repairing?

No. Maximum health and restoring damaged sections are different jobs. Keep monitoring and responding to attacks.

Are the example Tier 1 values current guarantees?

No. They are September 2026 preview examples. Read the live pad before buying or planning around exact values.

Do team upgrades last between rounds?

Read the current offer’s duration or persistence wording. Do not assume a preview establishes a permanent upgrade.
