Check the tab, then check the current selection
Open Inventory and choose the tab that matches what you want to inspect: Abilities, Bats or Auras. Find the intended item, read its current details, and verify the selection through the UI before joining the next fight.
A new reward and your active loadout are different checks. Receiving a bat does not prove you changed your ability, and owning an ability does not prove it is the one currently selected.
Use the tabs for different questions
| Tab | Useful question |
|---|---|
| Abilities | Which ability do I intend to use, and is its behavior active or passive? |
| Bats | Which bat did I receive, and which one is selected? |
| Auras | What does the current menu say about this collection item? |
Start in the relevant tab instead of searching all three for the same reward. A crate result naming a bat belongs to a different collection category from an ability card.
For Auras, read the current item description before assigning a benefit. The tab name alone does not establish a damage bonus, movement effect or special acquisition rule.
Read an ability card before planning the round
Visible ability names include Caveman Carry, Decoy, Launcher, Hook, Snatcher, Thunder, Blaze, Frost and Killstreak. Treat these as names to look up in the menu, not a complete guide to their effects.
Check whether your ability is passive or active. Launcher is a passive knockout effect that displaces the opponent’s body. Thunder is active and describes charging before a nearby stun.
If you want Thunder, check the selected ability and the current activation prompt. If you want Launcher, watch the knockout outcome rather than expecting an active button to trigger it. Do not assign an effect to another listed name just because its icon suggests one.
Read the live card for current costs and parameters. An older price or a familiar name is not enough to decide whether today’s offer is the one you intended.
Verify a reward before spending again
After a crate or wheel result, note the confirmed item name and any saved-to-collection notification. Open the relevant tab and look for that result.
Then use the current selection controls to verify your intended equipment. Follow the UI’s actual wording rather than expecting a fixed equip-button layout across devices or updates.
If you cannot find the item you expected, recheck the confirmed result and tab first. Buying another roll does not solve a mismatch between the reward name and the collection you are inspecting.
Make a short pre-round check
Choose the bat and ability you intend to use, read the relevant effect, and then connect that choice to your first task. A passive displacement ability needs pickup awareness; an active charging ability needs readiness and a follow-up.
If you enter a round with the wrong behavior, use the next available lobby opportunity to recheck the selection. Do not diagnose every unexpected effect as a combat bug before confirming your loadout.
Keep equipment checks separate from the team’s immediate needs. Once play begins, a carrier needing cover or a jail needing repair is a concrete task you can help with using the current setup.
Read Launcher or Thunder for how they work. Use bat crates when the confusing step is identifying a roll result.
FAQ
Which Inventory tabs are present?
Inventory has Abilities, Bats and Auras tabs. Use the current tab for the type of item you are inspecting.
Does owning an item mean it is selected?
Verify the current loadout through the UI. Ownership or a reward notification does not by itself establish your selection.
Do all ability names reveal their effects?
No. Read the actual card. Do not infer a stun, damage bonus or movement effect from a name or icon.
Do Auras increase combat stats?
Check the current aura description before assigning a stat effect. The existence of an Auras tab does not establish a combat bonus.
