Repair the threatened section and watch the next one
Keep your team’s prisoners contained by responding to damaged bar sections while an ally watches approaching rescuers. Track whether the section is recovering, then scan the rest of the cage. A defender who only looks at the wall in front of them can miss an escape being prepared on another side.
Repairing is part of holding a capture. It deserves attention after a delivery, especially when prisoners and outside attackers are working on the same section. If every defender leaves to chase an opponent, prisoners can keep damaging the bars without interruption.
Read the bars before choosing a job
Walk around the jail far enough to see which accessible sections are damaged and where prisoners are attacking. Compare the health trend rather than assuming the weakest-looking wall is the only threat.
Use the live repair interaction shown in your game and confirm the section’s health responds. Do not substitute the Carry key or an ability button for a repair control. Once you understand the interaction, keep your attention on the damage being applied.
| Jail condition | Defense priority |
|---|---|
| One section is losing health steadily | Repair that section and watch the attackers |
| Another wall starts taking damage | Call the new threat before everybody stays on the first wall |
| Rescuer reaches the outside of the cage | Have an ally pressure the rescuer while repair continues |
| Fresh prisoner arrives | Recheck the cage instead of assuming it stayed secure |
| Bars recover and no attackers are near | Keep someone aware of the jail while others move out |
Use these checks as a routine, and change priorities as attackers move or another section takes damage.
Divide repair and interception
One teammate can maintain the threatened section while another watches the approach. The outside defender should keep rescuers away from the cage before they can join the prisoners in attacking the bars.
Tell teammates which wall needs attention. “Other side is breaking” gives them a location to check. Repeating “repair” without identifying the section can bring more players to a wall that is already covered.
Avoid sending the whole defending group after a fleeing rescuer. If the prisoners remain active inside the cage, their attacks still need monitoring. Let a nearby ally contest the threat while somebody keeps the jail in view.
Treat Lockdown as a control to read
The base can display a Jail Lockdown pad and a countdown. Inspect the current control and timer before using it. Continue watching repairs and rescue pressure afterward.
A visible countdown is not a reason to assume every bar became invulnerable or that the round is already won. Judge the cage by its actual condition and wait for the real round-end indication.
As the timer runs low, check that your prisoners are secure before leaving base for a long chase. If another ally is carrying an opponent home, cover the entrance while the repairer stays on the threatened section.
Check why a prisoner escaped
Look at the stage you missed. Did you leave an attacked wall unattended? Did prisoners change targets? Did an outside rescuer add pressure? Did the entire team walk away after a delivery?
Use that answer to change the next defense. More people standing beside one wall cannot fix a second unobserved wall. A jail-health upgrade also does not replace watching where damage is happening.
Read team roles for duty handoffs. If you are deciding how much risk to take as time runs low, use late round strategy.
FAQ
Which section should I repair first?
Start with the section under immediate escape pressure and watch its health trend. Keep checking other sides so a second opening does not go unnoticed.
What is the repair button?
Follow the live repair prompt or interaction in your current game. Do not assume another action’s desktop key is also the repair control.
Should all defenders repair the same wall?
Keep the threatened section covered, but assign someone to watch rescuers and other damaged sections. Adjust when the pressure shifts.
Does Jail Lockdown guarantee a win?
Keep watching the cage and the actual round-end screen. Read the current pad and timer; do not treat Lockdown as a substitute for repair and defense.
